What personal data we collect and why
Contact form
When you contact us through the contact form on this website, we collect the information you provide — typically your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry and to communicate with you about potential or ongoing projects. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in responding to your request and, where applicable, the steps necessary to enter into a contract with you.
Messages submitted through the contact form are delivered to our email inbox. We retain this correspondence for as long as necessary to handle your inquiry and any resulting business relationship, after which it is deleted.
Server logs
Like most websites, our web server automatically records technical information about visits, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and the time of access. This data is used exclusively for security purposes (e.g. detecting and preventing attacks) and for ensuring the proper operation of the website. Log data is automatically deleted after a limited period.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Only technically necessary cookies may be set to ensure the basic operation of the website. Embedded videos from third parties may set their own cookies — see the section on embedded content below.
Embedded content from other websites
Our portfolio includes videos embedded from YouTube (a service of Google). When you play an embedded video, YouTube may collect data about you, set cookies, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, in the same way as if you had visited YouTube directly. If you are logged in to a Google account, your interaction may be linked to that account.
For more information, please review Google’s privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data may be processed by the following categories of service providers, strictly for the operation of this website:
- Our web hosting provider, whose servers are located within the European Union
- Network and security infrastructure providers (such as Cloudflare) that help deliver and protect the website
- Google (YouTube), when you interact with embedded videos, as described above
How long we retain your data
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy: contact form correspondence for the duration of our communication and any resulting business relationship, and server logs for a limited technical retention period. Data that is no longer needed is deleted.
What rights you have over your data
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request erasure of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Request restriction of processing or object to processing
- Receive your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at smilesuproductions@gmail.com. We will respond to your request within the timeframes required by law. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr) or the supervisory authority of your country of residence.
Where your data is sent
Your data is primarily processed within the European Union. Where a service provider (such as Google/YouTube or Cloudflare) may transfer data outside the EU, such transfers take place under appropriate safeguards recognized by the GDPR, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page.
